RESERVE
A GUIDED TOUR
BY A VNMP LICENSED PROFESSIONAL
Our
VNMP licensed battlefield guide tours are available during
park hours from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Tours must end by the time the park tour roads close
to vehicles at
5 p.m. Campaign tours may
extend beyond park hours.
Our
guides are called in as needed so it is best to RESERVE your tour in
advance so that your guide will be standing by to
meet your time schedule. However, walk-ins are
equally welcome and usually a guide can reach the
Visitor Center in the 20 minutes it takes to watch
our great documentary on the Siege.
VNMP guides are
assigned by the Vicksburg Convention and
Visitor's Bureau travel consultant on a rotational
basis, based on the days specific guides are
available.

Vicksburg Convention and Visitors Bureau by calling
(601) 218-1749). The
VCVB/VNMP reservation office is open until 5 p.m.

Silence
all electronic devices.

if possible.

It
is recommended that your guide drive your vehicle for
a safer, more enjoyable tour.
Guides are experienced at driving,
pointing, and talking. Guides are
prohibited from driving rental vehicles.

Watch
for walkers, bikers, and local hazards,
e.g. fire ants, uneven terrain, and
ironworks heated by the sun.

Climbing
on the memorials and cannon
is not
permitted.
